Pizzells for Walt's Birthday Party

Last week Kim and I made 180 waffle cone cups for her wards Blue and Gold Banquet. They had chocolate on the rims and then I dipped them in non-preils or chopped walnuts. They were so fun that I made some more for Walt's Birthday on Monday. Here is a picture of them. They are very easy to make. Then just bake them in the special waffle cone baker (WaffleCone Express) like you would a waffle. Put them in a bowl and they ruffle up. They set very quickly so you can make more quite quickly. Dip them in melted dark chocolate and then in nuts, sprinkles, or coconut.

Here is the recipe:

Gourmet Waffle Cone
1 whole egg
1 egg white
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter melted and cooled slightly

They taste a lot better than the cones that you can purchase.

We filled them with 3 different flavors of ice cream sprinkled almonds on top, sprayed them with whipped cream and topped it off with a cherry. You can fill them with other things as well. Try them you will really enjoy them. They party goers all loved them. Bon appetite!
